Happy Halloween!

We had a busy Halloween this year. The kids school did Trunk or treat on Thursday. Me and Steve worked are butt off. I think there was over 1000 kids there and the parents trampled the entrance to the trunks waiting for it to start all for 24 pieces of candy. (We only had 24 trunks there) The kids all picked a car to hand out candy and no one got any dinner. They ran out. But Friday was no school (Nevada Day) and then Trunk or Treat for our ward. Steve helped set up and we had a very nice visiting, dinner, Hunted house, less busy then the night before and all the kids got plenty of candy. On Saturday we dressed up for the Library and Sunday was not Halloween any more it was so over by then we had a nice movie night with a couple trick or treaters and the kids gave them some of there candy cause mom did not buy any more. So Here are our costumes:

Jerico is a Lion

Liberty is Belle

Beauty and the Beast?

Angel Dakota

Dakota Holding Brittlynn

Jericho kissing Brittlynn.  When she first got here Jericho did not like her but buy the end he was pushing her in the swing and kissing her.  He know loves to carry a baby around kissing her and pushing her in the stroller.  Thanks Brittlynn!

Polly did a great job organizing and getting rid of stuff. If she was for hire I would suggest her to everyone! We had 20 boxes for a yard Sale and at least 20 bags of trash. The motto for the week was "When in doubt, throw it out" Thanks for all your help!!

Pumpkin Painting!!

For FHE this week we had a free dinner so we took the kids out to eat.  The waiter dumped my whole glass of water on ME so he bought us desert.  Then the exciting thing.  They got to go pick out their pumpkins.  Of course dinner and the store took so long that they did not have enough time to paint them.  So every night this week we rushed to do homework before it got dark so we could paint our pumpkins.  No luck all week until Thursday night.  There was no school on Friday so no homework!!
Jericho's very first pumpkin painting!

He of course ate the paint and got paint every where!

Liberty is concentrating so hard to get her's just right.

There was a big painting pot in the middle for everyone to share.

What should I do with my pumpkin Hunter thinks.

I got it -- put bloody strips down the side!

Dakota puts a face on her's

But she takes the most time and paints her whole pumpkin

The Finished pumpkins in order Dakota's, Hunter's, Liberty's and Jeric's!  It was a great fun adventure.  And just a side note we don't cut our pumpkins cause they get gross to fast so we paint them then after Halloween we cook them and make fresh pumpkin for the freezer.  It lasts all year till we do it again!

Hunter's First Soccer Game

Well soccer season has officially began at the Dickson home. Hunter has taken off Tye Kwon Do for soccer. We have had practices 2 times a week for 3 weeks. No one else on Hunters team has ever played soccer before. This is Hunter's 5th season. Last season he played goalie and did not want to play forward so we wondered what would happen this season. They kept him out the first quarter and the score was 4/0 us behind. (not that we keep score because we don't right)
Hunter took off at full speed.

Was everywhere the ball was

Go Hunter Go!!

He made it look so easy ( and he said it was)

Defended the goal and sent it back down the field.  Passing to other team mates.

Or taking it all the way down the field on his own.

It was a great game ending at 12/6 with Hunter making 9 goals.  Everyone new his name (even the other team) and were cheering him on.  When asked Hunter said "I had to save my team.  They needed me"  It was a great day.  we look forward to the rest of the season!
