Special Sunday

We have been reading our scriptures every day since school started.  I have been waking the little kids up before the big kids leave and making an extra special effort to get everyone(not dad) together for prayer and scriptures.  So today the kids were good at getting up and did not argue and even got ready in time to have scriptures this morning before church.  I was so impressed and hope that this continues to bring the spirit into my home.  after church Hunter saw the new friend.  They had built a Lego temple on the front of it.  He said we should do that.  So Libby , Dakota and Hunter went up stairs and spent a long time putting it together.

It was decided that we needed more white legos to build it how big they made it on the friend.

This was the girl that was going to go to the temple.  Dakota made her a shirt, Hunter wanted the legs Dakota said she needed a skirt.  Hunter picked a different piece for the skirt.  Dakota said that is too short and not modest enough to go to the temple.  Amazing what kinds of discussions Legos will bring up.

August 28th

Today was Baskin robins night at school.  So I had to take the tip jar in and tell them thank you and make sure some of the teachers show up.  So I let the kids get a kids scoop of Ice cream(I had a coupon of course)They all wanted to taste each one so I limited the tasting to 2 flavors.

 Then Jericho wanted a sherbet.  She said the sweet or sour on and he tasted the sour and wanted that one.

We love our once a year trip to Baskin Robbins for Guy Night


After that we went to craft time at the library were my kids made a lot of turtles and checked out some great stori

After that we ate dinner and I put the kids to bed then headed back to Baskin Robbins Night to get the tip jar and tell them thank you so much.  Me and Steve got Sunday's (with a coupon) and the school made $220.  What a fun and busy night!

A couple of cute things

When I picked Jericho up from Kindergarten Yesterday he said "I hate School"
This morning Liberty said " So far this year has been great"  I said "the school year?"  She said "YES" (Today is the second day!)

First day of school

Well it was the first day of school today.  This is Hunter avoiding my picture again.  He started 6th grade.  They go to a uniform school.

Dakota started 8th grade so they go to the same school.  I got on the car pool so I don't have to drop of but I pick up!

He finally smiled at me I told him he has had a first day of school picture ever year for  7 years and don't ruin this year!

Liberty is really nervous to go to school.  She really wanted a blessing this year.  Steve gave her and Dakota one last night.  Th3e boys said they did not need it. Her shirt says LIBERTY ROCKS  I bought it when she was a baby and she finally fits it and she does rock!

I think everyone made it though the day but mom was super sad to have them all gone and can't believe how fast they grow and  that she has no more kids at home anymore.  This day came way to fast.  I better stop blinking or I'll miss it all.... 

Busy Week

Thursday August 14th I emailed the principal to see when our first PTA meeting.  I called all the ladies to let them know and invited them to our FHE swim party.
Tuesday August 19th PTA meeting 9 am went over schedule for the next year and got asked to serve the teachers breakfast on
Wednesday August 20th we served the teachers a breakfast of juice, bagels, fruit, donuts, breads.  We got there at 7 am I ran Dakota to summer school at 7:20 was back at 7:50.  Breakfast started at 8 am.  Made sure that had enough then cleaned up. left around 9am.  Typed up several flyers for
Thursday August 21st open house.  We got there at 1:30 to set up.  We actually had 20 people join right there!!!!   I visited my teachers from 3 to 3:30.  Helped clean up and count money until 4:30.
Friday August 22 we left the house at 8:45 to get the PTA Check book and then to get a second signature so that I could go shopping at Walmart.  Last year we bought a school box with glue, pencils, sharpener, scissors, notebook, eraser  and gave each child in our school one in January when all the school supplies have ran out.  One of the PTA ladies went yester day and I was going to try to get the rest done today.  #% minutes shopping and 45 minutes checking out including maxing out walmarts number of purchases per transaction and having my second check from the PTA not go thru because I spent to much on the first check with a grand total of  $800 of supplies and my van very full.  Then we went to Hunters and Dakotas school to buy planners, spirit day shirts, and scholastic magazine $42 dollars later and a new school supply list for my kids.

And so it begins........

FHE

Our ward did the most amazing thing for FHE this week.  They rented the outdoor pool for our ward and the friends and neighbors we invited and they rented the park next door and served grill hamburger and hot dogs.  WE love going to the outdoor pool and went 4 or 5 times this summer but it is always to crazy to take your camera but I new tonight would be great and it was.  We invited our new next door neighbor and I invited all my PTA helpers and Jericho friend down the street and they all came.  The missionaries said that they got several appointments from the day so YAHHHH.
